The injury occurred late in the quarter on a tackle by Baltimore linebacker Antwan Barnes. Jackson was running around right end on a scramble before Barnes caught up to the third-year quarterback and hit him on the leg.
Jackson was then taken down by Dawan Landry and Ray Lewis.
The extent of the injury was not immediately known, but the Vikings said Jackson would not return to the game.
Jackson took the Vikings to a touchdown on their first drive and was moving the team downfield on their second possession when the injury occurred.
Jackson was 7-for-11 for 82 yards and a touchdown. He was replaced by Gus Frerotte.
