--QB Gus Frerotte, who is 4-2 since taking over as the Vikings starter, was asked if the system he is being asked to run suits him well. "I don't know. I just go out and play and have a lot of fun," he said. "I think the coaches have a lot of confidence in me to be able to throw the ball downfield. I tell those guys all the time, the receivers, 'You've got to run, you've got to go out because the ball is coming. It doesn't matter who you are. If it dictates that you are going to get the ball it's going to be coming your way.' I think that all just carries over. It all breeds confidence."
--DE Jared Allen on the defense giving up only two touchdowns against a Texans offense that had been red hot: "To be honest, we're pissed about that. We expect greatness every time we step out onto the field. We expect to go out there and dominate, expect to go out there and stop the run and not give up points. We will go back and watch the film and probably see that there were some key opportunities that we missed to shut down big plays."
--WR Sidney Rice, who has been slowed by a knee injury suffered in Week 2, was in for about 15 to 20 plays Sunday and caught only one pass. However, the reception went for a touchdown. "I think it is going to take a little bit of time for me to get back into the rotation," Rice said. "Bobby (Wade) and Bernard (Berrian) are doing a great job. I'm not making an argument or anything. I'm a team player. As long as they are doing a great job, I have no problem with it."
